As per the provision of Companies Act, 1956 read with the Articles of Association of the Company, the power to appoint Directors on the Board of the Company is conferred on Government of Goa. The Government shall have power to appoint all or majority of the members of the Board of Directors, out of which at least two shall be from the Forest department.

Experts and Eminent person is appointed to advise the Board to perform extra services or make special exertion for any purpose of the Company, the Board may pay to such director such special remuneration.

In the light of the provision of Article 72 of the Memorandum of Association
following are the Directors on the Board of the Company:

Goa Forest Development Corporation (GFDC) Ltd. stands out as one of the public sector units in the State of Goa. Focusing primarily on production Cashew, and generate revenue amounting of Rs 2 to 2.5 Crore every year from Cashew auction and contributing significantly to the generation of rural employment during cashew season.

In recent times, GFDCL has chosen to adopt a more diversified portfolio by venturing into areas like ecotourism. One of Goa’s largest garden, Botanical garden and Eco-restoration center at Salaulim- Sanguem is the proud creation of GFDCL. This facility is attracting hordes of visitors every day and has become a must-see tourism destination in South Goa.

GFDCL intends to play a part, however small, in our collective endeavor to create a greener world. In this journey, we seek the support of all, including governments, forest corporations in other states, civil society and people from all walks of life. We look forward to your valuable feedback and suggestions to enhance our efficiency, refine our processes, broaden our product range and to generally improve our utility to the society.

Citizen's interaction

It is expected from the general public that they should take active part in Auction Sale for healthy competition thereby making available resources of income to the organization.

It is also expected that they should keep eco-friendly relation while implementing the projects in hand with the Corporation and accord allpossible co-operation directly and indirectly creating awareness about planting, preservation and rejuvenation of trees for the welfare of the next generation to come.

Procedure followed in Decision Making Process:

The working of the organization is in accordance with the provisions laid down under Memorandum of Association & Articles of Association framed by the Corporation and as per the resolutions passed by the Board of Directors.

Since the organization is registered as a Company under Companies Act 1956 with the Registrar of Companies, all procedures are also followed in decision making process as laid down under Companies Act.

However a set of procedure to be followed as set out in the constitution of the Corporation and exercised of the powers has been elucidated as appearing here below.
